NOEL CHRISTMAS FUDGE
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup diced red or green candied cherries
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  1. Mix together sugar, milk, and corn syrup in saucepan.
  2. Bring to boil, lower heat and simmer for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. When a drop forms a firm ball in cold water, remove from heat.
  4. Stir in butter and vanilla.
  5. Let cool.
  6. Beat well with a large spoon until mixture loses gloss.
  7. Quickly stir in fruit and nuts.
  8. Pour into buttered 8 or 9-inch square pan.
  9. When set, cut into squares.
