RAISIN FUDGE
  • 2 tablespoons butter or butter substitute
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 squares chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons raisins
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  1. Melt butter; add sugar, milk, molasses, and chocolate.
  2. Heat gently and stir until chocolate is melted.
  3. Bring to the boiling point and boil to softball stage 234 - 238 degrees.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Cool to room temperature.
  6. Beat until creamy.
  7. Add raisins, nuts, and flavoring.
  8. Continue beating until mixture will hold its shape.
  9. Pour into well-buttered pan.
  10. Cut into squares.
