CARAMEL FUDGE
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons white corn syrup
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  1. In a heavy pan or skillet lightly brown 1 cup sugar.
  2. Slowly add cream, remaining sugar, butter, syrup and salt.
  3. Cook to softball stage or 234 on candy thermometer.
  4. Remove from heat; beat until thick.
  5. Pour in buttered platter.
