Halloween Spider Cake
  • 1 box white cake mix
  • 1 pkg. green jell-o
  • chocolate frosting
  • 4 black licorice strips
  • 2 big green gum balls
  • 6 little gum balls
  1. Prepare cake and gelatin according to package directions, except 9 inch round cake pans for the cake.
  2. Cut a smaller circle out of one cake using it as the head.
  3. Fill the hole left over with the gelatin.
  4. Place the other layer on top and trim to shape.

To prepare frosting.

  1. In a mixing bowl, add blue food coloring to the chocolate frosting until black in color.
  2. Frost cake black.
  3. Then use the black licorice as legs and gum balls as eyes.

When cake is cut it spurts green goop.
